Dear Sir / Madam,
Hanoi Department of Education and Training is pleased to invite you to participate in the 15th Hanoi Open Mathematics Competition (HOMC 2018) to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam from 26th to 30th of March, 2018. The competition is jointly organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the Hanoi Mathematics Society.
The competition aims to:
1. Identify and nurture mathematical talented and motivated students at junior and senior high schools;
2. Encourage students and teachers to improve studying and teaching qualification in mathematics by focusing on higher logical thinking and problem solving skills;
3. Provide mathematical talented and motivated students with opportunities to exchange mathematical knowledge and practice
4. Strengthen the friendship of the students and teachers between Vietnam and other countries through series of activities, discussions and cultural experiences.
We would cordially invite you to send mathematics teams for this competition, which consist of 15 persons (1 Team leader, 1 Math teacher for Junior Division, 1 Math teacher for Senior Division, 6 Mathematics Junior students and 6 Mathematics Senior students).
We will provide the fare cost of meals, accommodation, local traveling and sightseeing expenses of 15 persons from each invited city or country during the official period of HOMC 2018 activities (March 26-30, 2018) in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Each participating team is responsible for the travelling expenses including flights, visa fees and other expenses from their homeland to Hanoi, Vietnam and return.
